Introduction

School Vision

Aiming High: We will provide the best possible education for every child at St Paul’s, igniting a passion for learning and the confidence to achieve success.

Our curriculum will:

  • Be challenging, stimulating, vibrant and based in first-hand experience
  • Develop language by encouraging effective communication skills
  • Ensure a secure foundation in the fundamental life skills of reading, writing and mathematics
  • Encourage personal development, foster independence and develop positive learning behaviours
  • Promote our school values and Christian distinctiveness
  • Take children’s interests into account
  • Allow children to develop enquiry and investigative skills

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum at St Paul’s. As well as teaching all of the National Curriculum subjects, we are also able to offer excellent sporting, music and language opportunities, as well as an extensive range of before and after school clubs.

Learning to learn

Across the whole curriculum, we encourage our children to become independent learners through building their “Learning Muscles.” This helps them to understand the value of developing essential skills for lifelong learning, such as concentration strategies, problem-solving techniques, the benefits of teamwork and the power of reflecting on their learning.
