About our School

Headteacher's Welcome

I hope that you will see by exploring our website that St Paul’s is a very happy place of learning and achievement. Our school sits at the heart of Addlestone's community and offers great opportunities for children to learn in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Our school vision is to ignite a passion for life and learning in every member of our school community by providing the best possible education, where children and adults grow through our core values rooted in FAITH and will confidently succeed through the strength and love of God.

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

There is a wealth of information on this website which will help you to learn more about our school and all the wonderful things we do here, so please do have a browse! Prospective parents are warmly invited to make an appointment with our office to see the school in action and to meet our wonderful children.

We look forward to welcoming you into our school.

Mrs Kaye

Headteacher

St. Paul's School is an academy under the Diocese of Guildford's Good Shepherd Trust, catering for girls and boys aged four to eleven years.  We are a 2 form entry school with a published admission number of 30 in each class.

The School Day

Our school day begins at 8.40 am

Years R, 1 and 2 finish at 3.05 pm

Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 finish at 3.10 pm

Break time

We have three different playgrounds:

  • Lower Base playground for the children from Reception to Year 2
  • Middle & Upper Base playgrounds for children in Years 3 to 6, including a dedicated ball zone.

In addition we are fortunate to have extra outside space that the children share:

  • Our fantastic field that we use as much as the weather permits throughout the year; this also holds our trim trail;
  • A separate ‘Quiet Area’ for reading and peaceful play.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have a healthy snack provided for break time. Other Year groups may bring in a healthy snack for break.

Morning break is from 10.30 am to 10:45 am

Lunchtime

Lunchtime begins at:

12.00 pm for Reception Classes and ends at 12.55 pm

12.10 pm for Years 1 to 6 ending at 1.00 pm

Children can have a lunch cooked on site by our Surrey County Council Catering Team. This currently costs £2.70 per day and special dietary needs can normally be catered for. Alternatively they may bring a packed lunch. When the weather is suitable children from Year 4 upwards can have lunch outside on the field or at one of the picnic tables or benches.

Child Care Provision at St Paul's

We run very popular Ofsted regulated Breakfast and After School Club childcare facilities.
