Our Local Parish

Our local parish community

Our school is proud to be part of our local parish and church community. The parish is at the heart of our daily life, bringing families, teachers, and friends together in faith and friendship. We join with our parish to celebrate special occasions, share in worship, and support one another. By working closely with our parish, we learn the importance of kindness, respect, and caring for others.

Why our parish links matter

St Paul's is a Church of England school and our parish is like an extended family. The church and school work together to help children grow not only in learning but also in faith and kindness.

Faith in Action – The parish helps us celebrate Christian festivals, join in worship, and learn how faith can guide our everyday lives. The church leads half termly collective worships at the church in Addlestone for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. They also visit us in school each Monday to lead a whole school collective worship.
Community Support – Families, teachers, and parish members come together to care for one another, making sure everyone feels included and valued. We work in partnership to gather food for food banks, to collect Easter eggs for families in need and to support other causes through out the academic year.
Role Models – Parish leaders visit our school to share stories, lead assemblies, and show us what it means to live with compassion and respect.
Shared Celebrations – From harvest festivals to Christmas services, parish links make our school life richer and more joyful.

By keeping strong ties with our parish, we make sure that our school is not just a place for learning, but also a place where children experience the love, care, and values of the wider church community.
